Hi all, I performed a migration from Exchange to Exchange , everything is ok with the Exchange server, but when I try to uninstall the Exchange server, a message appear, there are mailboxes in the mailbox store and I need to move them or disable them.

The mailboxes are System Attendant mailbox, System Mailbox and smtp. I tried to move, delete or disable them, but they send me a message that couldn't be deleted or moved, I can't do anything and I need to uninstall the Exchange server from the organization. What could I do? MarkSD Posts: 5 Joined: 4. May Status: offline. Hi guys. I really hope that one of you can help me. I'm a small business and this is my first time installing SBS, although I've played around with Excahnge previously.

Everything installed ok and I now have a static IP and want to setup the mx record so that I can send and recieve email from my domain. Problem is that the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service won't start. Well that is it starts, but then stops again straight away, every time. No error message, just says that some services stop automatically if they have no work to do. Thing is I can't set the reciepient policy with this service unresponsive Any ideas would be gratefully accepted??

Thanks Mark. Post : 1. RE: Exchange system attendant wont start! Hiya Mark, are ther any error messages in the Windows Application Event log - the System Att is a service that should run all the time, and normally when it terminates there will be an error in the Application Event log. Post : 2. May PM. I have already gone through MS's resolutions for these problems and none of them solved my issue. The preinstallation steps were all completed flawlessly.
